Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs have asked the Commission of Inquiry into Land Matters to recommend for the formation of a joint physical planning unit where they will coordinate, plan and budget for their activities in respect to Land Acquisition for Government projects. According to Civil Society Organisations advocating for Land Rights, MDA's have a tendancy of being disorganized, uncoordinated, when acquiring land for government and end up disenfranchising land owners of their rightful compensation. The Executive Director Uganda Land Alliance Aligiresia Akwi Ogojo says MDA's carry out work independently and separately even though they are undertaking activities in the same area involving the same community at different times which result in double compensation and wastage of resources.
