Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga who was summoned by Kampala City Hall court to answer charges of being a common nuisance, has not reported to court as ordered.According to Prosecution's Hillary Musimenta, Abiriga was personally served through the speaker before he travelled to his constituency and he acknowledged service.
However Abiriga's lawyer Usama Sebuufu told presiding Grade one magistrate Moses Nabende that Abiriga was served late after he had travelled which statement the prosecution denies. The magistrate has now extended the summons to 25/October.
The Legislator is alleged to have urinated on the fence of Ministry of Finance on 26th/September 2017 along Kyaggwe Road within Kampala city, which illegal action makes him a public nuisance.Abiriga's case stems from a picture of him that went viral on social media showing him easing himself along the road.
