Police is investigating circumstances under which a
group of Standard High School Students in Ntungamo set several dormitories on
fire last night, in which property worth millions of shillings was destroyed.
The fire which started at mid night is said to have been started intentionally
by a group of students, who poured petrol on the structures and set it ablaze.
Twelve students were affected but two,
whose identities are not yet clear were
seriously injured in the blaze and are admitted at Mbarara regional hospital
for treatment.
One Of the teachers at the school
identified as John says one girl was critically injured in the fire.
Meanwhile, Rwizi Regional Police Spokesperson, Samson Kasasira says the students
intentionally locked themselves in the dormitory and set it on fire, adding
that police is still investigating the matter.
