•Members of Parliament
asked Uganda’s foreign Minister and also former president of United Nation Sam Kutesa to resign. This followed allegations that he
received a bribe from a Chinese business man worth 500,000US dollars equivalent
to 2.8bn shillings to enable him win a
business contract.
•Mps who included Theodore Ssekikubo and Gerald Karuhanga said Kutesa is a re-know corrupt
officer further citing the earlier oil bribe in 2010 in which he was named with
former Prime Minister, Amama Mbabzi and Hilary Onek and they were
exonerated on orders of President Museveni.
